Wolfspeed, a leading supplier of GaN-on-SiC high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) and monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), is exhibiting, chairing the Analog, RF, and Microwave subcommittee, and celebrating the 15th anniversary of the first GaN MMIC at the 2015 IEEE Compound Semiconductor IC Symposium (CSICS), which will take place October 11–14, 2015 in New Orleans.
Attended by distinguished experts in GaN, GaAs IC, MMIC, InP, SiGe, nanoscale CMOS, and many other established and emerging technologies, CSICS is widely recognized as the preeminent international forum for developments in all aspects of compound semiconductor ICs, spanning materials, device fabrication, and modeling through IC design and testing, high volume manufacturing, and system applications. As such, representatives from Wolfspeed’s RF Foundry — the world’s largest dedicated, commercial wide bandgap production device facility — will be onsite at Booth #603 to promote their advanced, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) manufacturing readiness level (MRL8+) and Category 1A Trusted Foundry services.
Visitors to the booth can expect to speak with Simon Wood, Wolfspeed’s RF business development manager and chair of the CSICS 2015 Analog, RF, and Microwave subcommittee; Ryan Fury, Wolfspeed’s foundry program manager; and Scott Sheppard, Wolfspeed’s RF device and process development manager, who, fifteen years ago, was one of the authors of the paper that demonstrated the first MMIC fabricated in GaN.
“Wolfspeed is a global leader in GaN-on-SiC MMIC technology,” said Ryan Fury, foundry program manager, Wolfspeed. “We provide world-class design assistance, proven processes, testing, and support to help our customers realize their specifications from initial development through recurring production. Further, we have a proven track record of providing these services with faster cycle times, higher first-pass design successes, and greater reliability than our competitors.”
