TTI, a leading specialist distributor of passive, connector, electromechanical and discrete components, has announced the winners of its Supplier Excellence Awards for 2012. The Awards are presented every year, and to qualify, suppliers must reach specific targets across a number of tightly-measured categories including quality, operations and business systems, contractual terms, field sales support and management support. In 2012, Bourns achieved Platinum status for the first time, while Murata maintained this prestigious rank for a fifth year in a row. Platinum status is the highest level of recognition that is awarded to suppliers who have achieved the award for a minimum of five consecutive years. Molex maintained gold status for four consecutive years of recognition. Kemet was awarded silver for receiving the SE award three years in a row, and FCI, TE Connectivity and Vishay won bronze for hitting the target for two consecutive years. For their outstanding performance, Bourns was presented with the Global Operations Excellence Award for earning the award in all three regions - North America, Europe, and Asia - and by scoring the highest total points globally. As the overall top-scoring supplier in Europe, Bourns was also honoured with the prestigious Diamond Award. Finally, KOA won the Best Quality Award for achieving the highest total score in the quality category (five measurements). Commented Geoff Breed, VP Marketing, TTI, Inc., Europe: "TTI's Supplier Excellence Awards are a special form of recognition based on specific criteria measurement demonstrating the dedication and exceptional service that our suppliers contribute each year. This enables us to provide outstanding and best-in-class support to our customers. We are extremely grateful for our suppliers' contributions, and would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate all those who have received the awards this year. Huge praise must go to our Platinum level winners, Bourns and Murata, for their tremendous efforts over many years. I would like to add my special acknowledgement to Bourns, who not only received platinum status, but also the Diamond and Global Operations Awards. Congratulations to Molex for achieving Gold status, to Kemet for silver status and to FCI, TE Connectivity and Vishay for their bronze status achievement. We thank you for your passion for excellence and your commitment to our program across Europe, which in turn, allows us to provide higher service levels to our customers." TTI
