    Tollgrade appoints Thomas J. Kolb Chief Operating Officer

    Tollgrade Communications, a leader in providing service assurance solutions to the world's largest utilities and telecommunications providers, announced that Thomas J. Kolb has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO), a new position in Tollgrade. As COO, Kolb will continue to report to Ed Kennedy, President and CEO of Tollgrade and provide the strategic and operational leadership over all aspects of Tollgrade's global Broadband and Smart Grid business units, including product development, supply chain, services, customer support, marketing and sales. In this capacity, Tom will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the company while continuing to drive market leadership for Tollgrade's best-in-class service assurance solutions to the world's leading utilities and broadband service providers. "Tom has had an impressive career with more than 20 years of experience delivering operations and supply chain management best practices at global high tech companies. He is uniquely qualified to drive operational excellence company-wide as we expand our presence and solution portfolios in the smart grid and broadband markets," said Ed Kennedy, President and CEO, Tollgrade Communications, Inc.
