Industry leaders from the plug-in electric vehicle and advanced battery sectors gathered yesterday in Novi for the opening of North America's largest international exhibition and conference dedicated to battery technology, and its sister show dedicated to electric and hybrid vehicles. Now in its 4th year, The Battery Show attracted record attendance from the world's advanced battery and EV engineers and suppliers. "This is the most well attended show I've been to in a long time and the number of exhibitors is impressive. Everybody in the industry should be here" said Dr George Brilmyer of HighWater Innovations. Senior executives and thought leaders from major battery manufacturers and OEMs gathered yesterday morning in Novi, kicking off three days of back-to-back conference sessions at the biggest and best show to date. Providing insight into the current and future state of the market, Bob Galyen of SAE, reflected on the growth and positivity within the industry. Commenting on the development of the event, Joe DeCarlo of Panasonic said today "the content and size of the conference are perfect for allowing you to maximize the use of your time."
