SPS IPC Drives 2016 drew an even-larger international audience

SPS IPC Drives 2016 – the 27th edition of this electrical automation industry exhibition – once again proved to be one of the year’s highlights for exhibitors and attendees alike. Along with the facts and figures produced by a detailed analysis of the event, a survey conducted among all those on hand affirmed the importance SPS IPC Drives continues to enjoy in the automation industry.

Exhibitors profit from highly qualified contacts
Ranging from young companies to the industry’s key players, 1,605 exhibitors took advantage of SPS IPC Drives 2016 as an ideal business platform for expanding their customer networks and strengthening their existing business relationships. They were particularly excited about the high percentage of 70 percent decision-makers among those in attendance. “SPS IPC Drives has been on a unique run, and exhibitors like us are reaping the benefits,” says Michael Reiter, CEO of eddylab GmbH. “The high level of inquiries you get there often leads to interesting new business relationships with a lot of potential, which is exactly what we’re looking for.”

More international than ever
Judging by the growing number of visitors and exhibitors attending from outside of Germany, electrical automation is a prominent topic all around the world. Companies from a total of 45 countries took part in SPS IPC Drives 2016. Following Germany, the top five exhibitor countries were Italy, China, Switzerland, Austria, and the United States. Further, the year’s international visitors hailed from 87 different countries and accounted for 24 percent of those on hand.

Plenty of inspiration for expert visitors
In addition to the event’s comprehensive overview of the market, the audience of specialists at SPS IPC Drives 2016 found the numerous product innovations, new solutions, and forward-thinking automation technologies on display particularly compelling. The numbers confirm just how satisfied the visitors were, with 94 percent indicating that they are already planning to return to SPS IPC Drives in 2017. Meanwhile, 95 percent described the event as “good” or “very good”, and 98 percent said they would recommend it to their colleagues and customers.
