ScottMadden, a leading energy consulting firm, is proud to join leading industry players as a sponsor and panel moderator at the 2nd annual NC Clean Tech Summit being held February 19–20, 2015, at the UNC Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC. This event, co-sponsored by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Institute for the Environment and Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Center for Sustainable Enterprise, offers a unique platform to discuss North Carolina's clean tech industry.
Stuart Pearman, partner and energy practice leader at ScottMadden, will moderate the panel, “Adapting to a Changing Power Industry: A View from the Utilities.” This panel will explore changing industry dynamics from the perspective of two industry-leading CEOs. Panelists will include Tom Fanning, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Southern Company and Lynn Good, president and chief executive officer of Duke Energy.
“The NC Clean Tech Summit is a terrific event with a great agenda. For the utility industry, this is a very exciting time. We are fortunate to have Mr. Fanning and Ms. Good on the panel to share their insights and perspective,” said Mr. Pearman.
Additionally, Adam Hart, senior associate at ScottMadden, will serve on a lunch session for students on clean tech and career opportunities. Additional panelists will include Doug Beebe of Key Equipment Finance; Stephanie Kline of Environmental Defense Fund; Charlie Nobles of Sensus USA Inc.; Joel Olsen of O2energies; and Sara Rafalson of Sol Systems. Emmett Owens of Research Triangle Regional Partnership will serve as moderator.
