Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH has set up a Lighting Solutions Division, taking a significant step towards comprehensively addressing the entire lighting market. Rutronik is offering not only components and application support but also complete LED concepts including design, dimensioning and light ranges through to support including regulations and building inspection. From now on, local authorities and public institutions, engineering and planning offices as well as companies will have access to professional contacts at Rutronik for, among other things, light and display planning, architecture and regulations. The new Division complements technical product marketing for optoelectronic components at Rutronik. Rutronik already offers its customers extensive support in the lighting area and as such has been able to establish its position as a cutting-edge provider of innovative lighting solutions. In order to be able to support new distribution customers comprehensively and professionally, Rutronik has now created the Lighting Solutions Division at its headquarters in Ispringen. This gives customers helpful access to lighting planners and designers, architects and engineers offering technical support in switching to LED technology and on new LED installations. The team is composed of experts in lighting design in all areas of interior and exterior lighting as well as engineers with special knowledge of regulations, light ranges, software, construction work acceptance and building inspection. They advise Rutronik customers on structural planning, dimensioning of the electronic installation and design. The product range of the new Division includes finished products such as grid ceiling lights, downlights, hall spotlights and street lights from existing and new Rutronik partners. Target markets are, in particular, interior and exterior lighting in public and private buildings and offices as well as on streets and squares. The clientele includes local authorities, public institutions, companies, engineering and planning offices and electronic wholesale businesses. With these newly appointed experts, Rutronik is complementing its current core business in optoelectronic components. Technical product marketing concentrates on advice regarding the components, starting with LEDs and lenses through to components for control and heat dissipation. In addition it has application engineers who answer questions specific to the application and provide design-in support. The new Lighting Solutions Division complements its portfolio with finished products and technical support in the design and planning of LED lighting concepts and assists customers in complying with relevant regulations. Furthermore, in the medium-term, Rutronik's plan is for the new Division to collaborate closely with Rutronik subsidiary Rusol, a distributor of photovoltaic solutions. This is because both companies address a similar clientele and focus on the subject of energy efficiency: Rusol from the production and the Lighting Solutions Division from the consumption perspective.
