Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH and NJRC have concluded a Europe-wide franchise agreement covering the Japanese manufacturer's entire semiconductor portfolio. By mutual agreement, the distributor will also deliver NJRC products in countries outside of Europe. The semiconductor product portfolio of NJRC comprises operational amplifiers, controllers with wide input ranges, comparators, opto-electronic components, A/D converters, LED, VFD and LCD drivers, as well as a wide range of ICs and audio solutions. NJRC's key target markets in Europe for those products are the industrial, medical, automotive and renewable energy sectors, as well as the high-end audio segment. Of essential importance in its product marketing are long-time product availability and a temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, expanded to -40°C to 125°C for automotive applications. "The focus of our operations was founded in Asia, where we still hold a very strong market position. We are now looking to significantly strengthen our position in Europe and the USA too," comments Yoshihito Takahashi, General Manager Marketing from NJRC. "Rutronik is the ideal partner in achieving that goal, based on its strength especially in the industrial and automotive markets, its extensive presence in Europe and the proven expertise in their products and target applications." "Having been on the market for over 50 years, and as the inventor of the famous operational amplifier 4558, NJRC has made an important name in application-specific and high innovative analog products," comments Thomas Heel, Marketing Director Semiconductors at Rutronik. "Not only that, NJRC also operates its own wafer foundry and packaging line, providing it with the kind of core competences which can only be achieved by a minority of major analog manufacturers, as well as having broad process capability extending from bipolar through CMOS and bi-CMOS to GaAs. We are therefore very pleased to be able to offer our customers these technologically and commercially very attractive products." www.rutronik.com
