The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) Nanotechnology Committee is sponsoring an Industry Session at APEC 2014 titled, “Latest Advances in Nanotechnology.” This year marks PSMA’s fourth Industry Session on Nanotechnology at APEC, which positions itself as the “Premier Event in Power Electronics.” The Nanotechnology session will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Offering a focus on new and evolving technologies and applications that play important roles in power electronics, the Nanotechnology Industry Session comprises five technology presentations by experts from SouthWest Nano Technologies, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, eSpin Technologies and University of Texas at Arlington. The session will open with an overview of patent activity in nanotechnology by Baker & Hostetler LLP, and will conclude with a presentation by Aerolearn, Inc. that looks at the state-of-the art learning materials in nanotechnology that have been developed by the PSMA.
The session will not only be very informative, it will also provide an opportunity for attendees to interact with other professionals who are active in this area and to learn about the present and future impact on nanotechnology on the power electronics industry. Chuck Mullett and Kevin Parmenter, co-chairs of the PSMA Nanotechnology Committee, encourage APEC attendees to register and attend this valuable Industry Session, and to consider participating in the other PSMA-sponsored meetings during the week.
