From wearables to smart lighting, the IoT will involve a lot of remote systems that may not have access to ready power. EnOcean recently released energy-harvesting wireless modules for 2.4 GHz BLE systems, complementing existing wireless technology on the sub 1 GHz band, and ZigBee wireless products on the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
