NQ Mobile acquires a third of Hesine Technology

NQ Mobile, a provider of mobile Internet services focused on security, privacy, and productivity and MediaTek, the fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital multimedia have reached an agreement with NQ Mobile's acquisition of approximately one-third interest in Hesine Technologies International Worldwide, the wholly owned subsidiary of MediaTek and the mobile messaging provider. NQ Mobile's co-founder, chairman and co-CEO, Henry Lin, joins the board of directors at Hesine and provides overall strategic direction to the company. Hesine will provide NQ Mobile with access to its mobile messaging, which provides mobile push notification and messaging services across various radio access technologies, wireless carrier­­­s, and geographies. Maintaining its majority interest in Hesine, MediaTek has agreed to further strategic collaboration with Hesine in the deployment of its messaging applications. Hesine's push technology and messaging platform has outperformed competitors on battery, bandwidth, memory, and CPU consumption on mobile devices. Hesine unifies all communication and messaging tools, including push email, webmail, blogging, social networking, and instant messaging. Hesine also offers a web suite that bridges Internet and mobile communications, allowing mobile users to conveniently and transparently manage or sync content. Hesine is currently available for iPhone, Android and Symbian operating systems.
