In this episode of PSDtv Marshall Cox of Radiator Labs describes how their energy-harvesting system works to improve steam-heating efficiency for Power Systems Design at CE Week NYC. The system works in a completely different manner than conventional systems, by handling and managing the air around a radiator to avoid the complexities inherent in steam control. The Radiatorlabs system blocks passive heat transfer to the room (blocking convective and radiative flow), and re-establishes heat transfer via a ducted fan when the room calls for heat.
