Mouser Electronics, a leading authorized distributor with the latest semiconductors and electronic components, announced that for the third year in a row the company is proud to sponsor Texas Instruments’ Innovation Challenge European Design Contest, which is designed to encourage engineering students to submit design projects that utilize TI technology. Prizes will be awarded to the best entries as determined by the judges.

The contest is open to individuals and teams of up to five undergraduate and graduate students all accredited universities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. To compete, students must use two or more TI analogue ICs and a TI Processor in their student design project. Mouser is also sponsoring the North American competition: see http://www.mouser.com/ti-innovation-challenge-2014. The European contest already is under way: deadline for registration is 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2015.

Entries will be judged on five criteria: originality and creativity of design, real world application, level of engineering analysis, usage of TI ICs and processors and working demonstration of design in a video.

The grand prize is $10,000. Second place is $5000. Third and fourth places gets $2,500.
