The Mouser Electronics-sponsored Vaillante Rebellion racing team is excitedly preparing for the 6 Hours of Nürburgring, taking place July 16. The race marks the third time that the FIA WEC has taken place in Germany since the series began in 2012.

The Vaillante Rebellion No. 31 car, piloted by Filipe Albuquerque (filling in for Nicolas Prost), Bruno Senna and Julien Canal is currently in second place in the LMP2 category, while the No. 13 car, driven by Pipo Derani (filling in for Nelson Piquet Jr.), Mathias Beche and David Heinemeier Hansson, is ranked ninth in the same category.

Mouser is proud to again partner with valued supplier LEMO to sponsor Vaillante Rebellion for the entire 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship season. Mouser distributes the full line of quality LEMO connector solutions including their original push-pull connectors.

Racing is all about speed and endurance, and racing sponsorships are an innovative way for Mouser to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the newest technologies from its manufacturer partners. The Mouser-backed Rebellion team ran away with the crown in the LMP1 Privateer Class last year, and with a new class comes new challenges.

“The Vaillante Rebellion team proved its place in the LMP2 class after its remarkable finish at 24 Hours of Le Mans,” said Todd McAtee, Mouser’s Vice President of Americas Business Development. “We’re disappointed with the disqualification, but we’re proud of the team’s performance and response. As the cars and drivers excel on the track, Mouser consistently excels in distributing the newest, most advanced, high-quality electronic components from our manufacturer partners like LEMO.”

After the Germany race, the series travels to Mexico City on September 3; Fuji, Japan, on October 15; and Shanghai on November 5. The 2017 season ends in Sakhir, Bahrain, on November 18. To learn more, visit http://www.mouser.com/rebellion-racing.
