New EoSens 1.1CXP2 Boasts Unprecedented Speed and Performance

(POWAY, CA) -- Mikrotron is redefining video acquisition speed and performance with the launch of its first camera to feature the ultra-fast CoaXPress 2.0 (CXP 2.0) interface: the EoSens 1.1CXP2. By being one of the first camera manufacturers to introduce a CXP 2.0 camera, Mikrotron is extending the advantages of the previous CXP 1.1 standard by doubling the maximum available bandwidth to 12.5 Gbit/s so users can achieve unprecedented speed at higher resolutions.

Featuring four CXP-12 connections, the EoSens 1.1CXP2 delivers a maximum data transfer rate of 50 Gbit/s (4 x 12.5 Gbit/s), or 5 GByte/s. This incredible bandwidth translates into a staggering 3,600 frames-per-second (fps) at full 1280 x 864 resolution with no latency, or as high as 150,000 fps at reduced resolution. Precise triggering and control, made possible by CXP 2.0's 42 Mbps uplink, eliminates the need for a separate I/O cable, and helps make the EoSens 1.1CXP2 a cost-effective, single-cable solution, complete with Power-over-CXP for the ultimate in design flexibility.

The EoSens 1.1CXP2 also overcomes the short cable limitations of Camera Link and USB3 Vision cameras with its capacity to transmit data over standard 75 Ohm coaxial cable at lengths of 35 meters at CXP-12 or up to 100 meters at CXP 10. Economical coaxial cables, greater design flexibility, fewer camera-to-computer links, GenICam™ compliance, and higher camera speeds add up to significant cost savings and more efficient production lines.

Contained within an 80 x 80 x 53mm fanless metal housing, the EoSens 1.1CXP2 is both rugged and compact to simplify system integration. It offers a full feature set with extreme sensitivity of 20 V/lux-s @ 550nm to ensure high-contrast images in very low light, along with built-in Gamma Correction, FPN Correction, Noise Reduction, and Sequencer.
