Whether your application is designed for landscape or portrait mode, the EA eDIP160-7 displays made by ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY are ideally suited for any mounting position. They feature 160 x 104 or 104 x 160 pixel resolution depending on the orientation. The displays have a built-in graphics controller, eliminating the need for time-consuming system-level programming. A touch screen option is available for interactive machine control applications. The on-board controller makes it much easier for developers to create sophisticated graphics for displays which are used on equipment, machinery and systems. With built-in functions such as the clipboard and pull-down menus, programming a professional user interface is almost as easy as child's play. Eight fonts are supplied with the displays. Graphic commands similar to what you would find in high-level languages are available to developers so that they can program functions and position characters and bitmap images with pixel precision. There is no need for additional drivers or software nor for time-consuming and error-prone machine-level programming. The EA eDIP160-7 dramatically reduces development time. The touch panel is the ideal platform for dynamic user interfaces. Developers can define virtual touch-activated controls which appear on the display. The position and function of the controls can vary depending on the context. The labeling can also easily be set to the local language. Three different command interface ports are available on the displays: RS-232, SPI or I2C. The size of the display is 81.5 x 67.5mm. The operating temperature range (-20°C to +70°C) is suitable for industrial applications. The units can display two different gray levels. The white software-adjustable LED lighting ensures a brilliant display and excellent readability even in very bright environments. Series EA eDIP160-7 units can be provided for positive display in black and white or negative display with blue background. A resistive touch panel is available as an option on both versions.
