Integral Technologies, an emerging light-weighting leader and its wholly owned subsidiary ElectriPlast, will be exhibiting at Booth #1856 at The Battery Show 2015, and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Conference and Expo from September 15-17th at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. The Battery Show and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle events offer a premier showcase of the latest advanced battery technology, attracting experienced thought leaders and professionals from across the battery supply chain, as well as key verticals including automotive, grid power and consumer electronics.

"We are looking forward to showcasing our highly conductive plastic bipolar plates, which will be developed into lightweight, moldable and cost effective batteries," said Doug Bathauer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Integral Technologies. "This show is an outstanding opportunity for our ElectriPlast engineering team to engage with companies in need of weight and size reduction and present, not only conductive polymer materials, but also sound technical solutions for its application."

"ElectriPlast's unique properties allow us to tailor the conductivity and resistance of the bipolar plate substrate and subsequent surface treatment processes to create a low resistance bipolar plate as the contact to the active paste materials," says Slobodan "Bob" Pavolic, VP Engineering of ElectriPlast Corporation who directs material research, product development and design initiatives for the company. "Besides the bipolar plate application, the highly conductive ElectriPlast polymers can be used as the bus bars and contacts for battery systems, providing benefits of plastic material processing abilities. Our family of ElectriPlast materials with high EMI shielding capabilities are fully capable of replacing metal enclosures to HV battery and other HV applications including shielded wire."

Integral Technologies has developed a highly conductive polymer bipolar plate that can improve the performance of lead-acid batteries, the dominant electricity storage medium for vehicles and many other applications, and can cut battery weight and size by over 50%. The development of this plate has evolved from the core material manufactured by Integral Technologies called ElectriPlast®. ElectriPlast is a non-corrosive, electrically conductive resin-based material. Its properties allow it to be molded into any of the infinite shapes and sizes associated with plastics, rubbers and other polymers while reducing component weight by 40-60%.
