GridBeyond, an AI-powered smart energy company and global pioneer in intelligent energy management solutions, announced a strategic partnership with energy curtailment software provider OBM, Inc. (“OBM”).
This new collaboration is set to transform energy management for operations of all sizes by providing mutual customers both GridBeyond’s AI-powered energy management solutions and OBM’s Foreman, the industry leading large flexible load facility management software.
Through this partnership, OBM and GridBeyond will enhance participation in demand response programs to maximize revenue while bolstering grid reliability and environmental performance for its customers.

Foreman’s full-spectrum miner management suite will allow mining operators to automate and optimize their energy curtailment during periods of peak grid demand, ensuring rapid and efficient response — reducing operators’ energy load and supporting grid stability. Additionally, GridBeyond's unique, AI-driven analysis software, Forecaster, can deliver additional value to customers, providing predictive insights and accurate energy forecasting.

It will include automated energy curtailment, that seamlessly signals the turndown or curtailment of mining operations, thereby enhancing response speed during peak grid demand periods.
Economically, this partnership optimizes participation in demand response programs to generate maximum revenue while minimizing unnecessary curtailments. Environmentally, the collaboration also improves energy efficiency and sustainability, contributing to a more reliable and environmentally friendly grid.
OBM has already curtailed more than 2.8GWh and saved customers more than $67.8M in energy costs. As energy demands increase, OBM continues to expand its offerings to provide much needed automated load curtailment grid relief for customers. Recently, the software provider announced the launch of a first-to-market product to reduce energy loads for artificial intelligence computing in response to grid conditions.
