Exar, a leading supplier of analog mixed-signal products serving the industrial, high-end consumer, and infrastructure markets, will showcase its latest power design products at APEC 2016, March 20-24 in Long Beach, California. These products, including switching regulators, power modules and Universal PMICs, will be on show in Booth 1637.

Exar will unveil new product demonstrations and highlight power management system designs including hardware, software and reference designs to help power supply engineers get to market quickly.

This year’s focus is on 40V power solutions for industrial applications:
• Its PowerBloxTM step-down switching regulator family simplifies system design in point-of-load applications with the XR76203/05/08 devices offering a wide 5V to 40V input voltage range and output currents of 3A, 5A and 8A, respectively. These regulators provide exceptional line/load regulation and by employing Exar's proprietary emulated current mode Constant On-Time (COT) control loop they ensure excellent transient response and output accuracy.
• Exar power modules offer world‑class power density, efficiency and thermal performance and provide easy to use power solutions. Its latest developments include the XR79103/06 and XR79203/06 high current power modules. The modules expand the existing 10A, 15A and 20A module family with 3A and 6A modules and input voltage ratings up to 40V.
• Universal PMICs with programmable power technology are Exar’s forte and the XR77129 single-chip 40V quad-channel DPWM/DPFM buck controller perfectly illustrates the capability for solving unique and difficult power system challenges, made even easier with the support of the PowerArchitect design and configuration software.
