Eoplly USA, solar products designer and manufacturer, and Solar Street Lights USA, a US manufacturer of solar street lights and storage systems, have announced the completion of approximately fifty early-notification and emergency-warning systems for the City of Detroit, Michigan. The early-warning and emergency-notification systems were funded through a FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and DHS (Department of Homeland Security) grant to upgrade warning systems across several major US cities. The grants were awarded to West Shores Services, who selected Solar Street Lights USA to design and assemble the power-management systems using Eoplly solar modules. The emergency-warning systems incorporate a federal-emergency siren, power management, battery storage, and two Eoplly EP-156P/60-235W polysilicon modules. These systems were designed to operate off-grid at 48 VDC. in case of a power loss during an emergency. "Eoplly USA is proud to be powering these emergency-warning systems for the City of Detroit. Solar power is a good fit for off-grid, emergency-warning and lighting systems," said Warren Nishikawa, CEO and General Manager of Eoplly USA. "We are pleased to partner with Solar Street Lights USA on this municipal project. We view off-grid solar systems as an emerging market." Eoplly Solar Street Lights USA
