LONG BEACH, CA - UTC TELECOM 2011, BOOTH 341 - May 9, 2011 - Eltek Valere, the world leader in high efficiency power systems, will unveil its new Wallbox ultra compact and multi voltage supply system at the Utilities Telecom Council (UTC) Telecom 2011 show, May 10-13 in Long Beach, CA. The powerful, flexible wall-mounted unit, which is designed for today's smaller industrial and telecom applications, houses complete power systems, including rectifiers, distribution and advanced controllers from 240W up to 6 kW. The Wallbox is designed for Eltek Valere's industry-leading Flatpack2 HE high efficiency rectifiers and Micropack DC small power system. Because of the wide load range offering within these product families, the Wallbox is available with 12V, 24V, 48V, 60V or 110V output. For smaller loads with short back-up times the system can even incorporate batteries. "The new Wallbox fulfills a growing demand for smaller, yet fully functional systems in power utilities, railway and other industrial applications as well as in the telecom market where mobile broadband and 4G build outs need more compact systems," said David Leal, vice president of North American sales for Eltek Valere. "The Wallbox not only meets the need for small yet powerful systems, it provides high efficiency to reduce energy waste, saving operating costs and contributing to a greener environment." The Wallbox has dimensions of 17.79 x 7.87 x 9.85 inches (WxDxH) and a weight (excluding the rectifiers) of 11 pounds 0.36 ounces, so it is easily installed and has a removable front cover for easy access during installation and connection. The system comes with a bulk output DC feed that can also be configured with integrated load and battery distribution to meet individual power solution requirements. Both versions have global CE/UL approvals. Flatpack2HE Version The Flatpack2 high efficiency Wallbox offers a basic power core with two rectifier positions, a Smartpack2 controller and a bulk DC output feed with optional DC distribution. The power core is suitable for any Flatpack2 HE rectifier module and the system output can be based on the following modules: 24V/1800-3600; 48V/2000-4000W; 48V/3000-6000W; 60V/2000-4000W and 110V/2000-4000W. The Flatpack2 HE reduces energy waste through a unique design that boosts AC to DC conversion efficiency to 96 percent, compared to 92 percent offered by current systems. With over 200,000 units installed worldwide, the Flatpack2HE has cut nearly 200 million kilowatt hours in wasted electricity, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 140,000 tons, and has saved carriers more than US $22 million in power related operating expenses. Micropack Version The Micropack Wallbox basic power core has four rectifier positions, a Compack controller and a bulk DC output feed, but can also be configured with a two-position power core and optional DC distribution. The power core is suitable for any Micropack rectifier module and the system output can be based on any of the following modules: 12V/120-480W; 24V-240-960W; and 48V-250-1000W.
