Chromasens' allPIXA evo DXGE linescan camera portfolio has been expanded with an ultra high-resolution model capable of acquiring 15360 x 3 pixel True RGB color images at a maximum line speed of 49 kHz. Aimed at precision web and print verification, the new allPIXA evo DXGE 15K also supports challenging color line-scan vision tasks such as food, PCB, and EV battery inspection.
This new camera takes vision systems to the next level by incorporating a Dual 10GigE Vision interface that not only ensures cost-effective deployments, but offers more data bandwidth along with redundancy. By using standard off-the-shelf Ethernet components from the 10GigE eco-system, such as network interface cards, instead of proprietary ones, the camera reduces the cost of system integration. Optical connectors (SFP+) represent another connectivity option, facilitating long-distance fiber cable runs up to 300 meters that add design flexibility along with EMI immunity.
In order to reliably identify even the smallest defects, the camera is built on a quad-linear CMOS color linescan sensor architecture attaining a resolution of 15360/5.6 μm pixels. Its range of application based features include TDI options heightening responsivity with maximum line rates, multiple choices in frame and line triggers, precise multi-camera synchronization, and a color correction matrix. NIR pass filters enable the sensor to recognize object features in the visible and rear-infrared spectrum when set in RGB+NIR mode.
While in Multi-Flash mode, the allPIXA evo DXGE 15K can trigger up to four different flash controller channels synchronized to its line acquisition. As a result, several images can be acquired with different illumination geometries -- dark field, bright field, backlight, co-axial -- simultaneously in one scan by line-multiplexing. Cracks, scratches, stains, chipping, foreign particles and other unique defects can be identified in one pass rather than several.
For easier integration, the allPIXA evo DXGE 15K comes with an intuitive graphical tool and an SDK compatible with Windows and Linux. The Chromasens SDK is devised with a Windows real-time kernel allowing for precise timing and priority management in time-critical applications.
Chromasens is a single source supplier for components required in high-performance linescan image processing systems with a large range of linescan and 3D cameras, cables, lenses, power supplies, and LED illumination to choose from, all engineered to help users achieve straightforward integration and maximum compatibility.
