CE Week announced a partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to bring local up-and-coming startups to CE Week 2014. Known as the CE industry’s top annual mid-year event, CE Week brings together media, analysts and technology thought leaders for product debuts, a robust conference program and networking events all focused on innovation. CE Week 2014 is scheduled June 23-27 in New York City, with the CE Week Exhibits and Conference Program scheduled June 25-26 at the Metropolitan Pavilion/Altman Building.

“The city’s tech ecosystem is important to all sectors of the city economy, supporting almost 300,000 jobs and contributing to neighborhoods across all five boroughs,” said NYCEDC Executive Vice President Eric Gertler. “Through our partnership with CE Week, we are helping to foster growth in this important sector, showcasing burgeoning startups and homegrown success stories, and helping to create jobs and economic opportunity for all New Yorkers.”

As part of NYCEDC’s efforts to support New York City’s booming technology sector, NYCEDC has planned a NYC Startup Pavilion to be featured on the CE Week exhibit floor. The pavilion will showcase local tech innovators and budding startups representing a wide-range of NYC’s industry verticals. CE Week 2014 serves as the official mid-year industry destination, drawing more than 1,000 media, analysts and retailers. The event features more than 130 participating companies including technology startups as well as major global brands.
