To better serve the changing needs of energy industry professionals, the Association of Energy Services Professionals is launching its first online conference Aug. 20, 2013 titled "CSI ONLINE: Codes, Standards & Improvements." Conducted entirely online, this half-day conference will offer participants an immersive learning experience on a narrowly focused topic. "Over the last few years, we've been hearing more and more from our members that it's the lack of time and budgets that have limited their ability to attend conferences. Yet at the same time, they know the importance of keeping up to date on industry knowledge. They also need a forum to ask questions and discuss issues with peers. We are delighted to be able to meet this member need with this new approach," said Meg Matt, the president and CEO of AESP. Participants can attend the conference from virtually anywhere on Aug. 20 from 12-4 p.m. ET. The online conference will present four informative 50-minute sessions back to back with time allocated for questions and breaks. Industry experts and knowledgeable moderators will share key insights and offer attendees valuable takeaways. Presentations will focus on a range of issues pertaining to codes and standards, an important but constantly evolving area in energy efficiency. Topics include how utilities can count savings from codes; what codes and standards mean for program design; the latest on California's Title 20 specifications; innovations on achieving code compliance; emerging code issues and more. The registration fee is $189 for AESP members, $289 for non-AESP members. Attendees will also receive a primer on codes and standards, as well as an extensive resource listing as part of the online conference package. AESP
